Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!  We are headed to a neighborhood parade today led by our local fire station.  If you know anything about Aidan you know that he is obsessed with fire trucks!  We took his pedal car fire truck and decorated it for the parade.  There is a competition for best bike/trike/wagon so we worked really hard!  I think the best part of his firetruck is that is plays the national anthem. We bought a CD and a small CD player and stuck it in the back of the pedal car and stuck it on repeat.   We are hoping that brings home the trophy.  He will also be sporting an American flag t shirt, American flag flip flops and a huge sparkly American flag hat.  I will take more pics tomorrow but these are from the beginning of us decorating today. 

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays.  Adam and I have great memories of watching the fireworks on the beach in Folly.  We can't wait to get the beach house back so we can take Aidan.  We are going to have to stick with the fireworks uptown Charlotte this year though!  We hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday!!! xoxo
