Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!  I hope you are somewhere enjoying the company of your loved ones and something really yummy to eat!!
I for one will be spending the day with my boys, my brothers and my parents. We are kicking the day off with the annual Thanksgiving Day parade here in Charlotte. In case you are unaware the parade in Charlotte is the 4th largest in the country.  Who knew?

I was in charge of dessert again this year and my brother Bobby requested my turtle Cheesecake from last year and I would never let him down! It looks amazing! The recipe if your interested is here. I am honestly just so flattered someone would want to eat something I made twice!! =). I might be getting good at this cooking thing! Something else to be THANKFUL for!

Believe it or not my husband has convinced me to go Black Friday shopping tonight at midnight!  I don't think he has any clue what he is getting himself in to but it should be fun.  If anything it's an excuse to spend time alone with him!

As always I am really so thankful for all of you, my readers.  I love this little space of mine on the internet and you make it that much better!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm Thankful

I'm THANKFUL for all the time this weekend I get to spend with my family. I'm THANKFUL for our friends, they are our second family. I'm THANKFUL for our sweet little house. During the holidays I feel like it's busting at the seams with love and baked goods. I'm THANKFUL for our health. I'm especially THANKFUL everyday that I was chosen to be a mom to the cutest little man in the world and for my marvelous husband Adam. He makes my world go round. I am so proud of how hard he works and what an incredible provider he is for us. He's also really handsome and makes me laugh all day.

Happy Thanksgiving! I am off to bake until the sun comes up!

Pre School Thanksgiving Feast

This year I was asked to be the room mom for Aidan's class. I have been pretty surprised at how much work it involves but to be honest, I have loved every minute of it.  This is so cheesy but I have always wanted to be room mom.  Haha!

So my first big event was our Thanksgiving Feast the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.  Here are the pictures from the big day.

Aidan's placemat and food.

The tables set up in the classroom.
I try to explain to all of my friends that Aidan's classroom is a tree house and no one gets it. So, I finally took a picture.  When you walk in the door of the classroom this is to the left.  You can see the walkway with the netting around it that the kids can walk all the way across the room to get to this...
side.  It's pretty cool and I am sure every 3 year old's dream come true.
The kids sitting on their spots on the rug listening to Ms. Courtney.

Aidan getting dressed up as a pilgrim and indian.

The whole class with Ms. Courtney and Ms. Karin
My little pilgrim eating a pumpkin muffin.
Sitting in the treehouse after lunch.  This picture was not posed.
Getting ready to sing a song.  (I am not sure why Calvin has a bandage on his head but I did hear he actually had some kind of injury)

Here is a little video of them singing their Thanksgiving song.  I started the video a little late but it's still so cute!

Next Up...Christmas Show.

Thankful Thursdays

Last year I did a little segment here on the blog I called "Thankful Thursdays".   I thought it would be fun to do it this year for the three weeks leading up until Thanksgiving and add a linky thing {I will have to figure that out} so my blog friends {the few of you} could join in.   I realize I will probably be doing it myself but I thought it would just be fun to invite you in case you want to share what you are thankful for this holiday season.  I know I have a lot to be thankful for, thankfully.   I will start this week the 4th!

Also, if you don't have a blog and still want to play along, you can always leave what you are thankful for in the comments section or send me an email and I will post them! I would love to hear!

Seriously though, can you believe it's November?
