The other day I decided to make a quick stop in to TJ Maxx to see what they had. To my surprise they had an adorable dress and I decided to try it on. For whatever reason, there were more women than usual in the fitting rooms.
Aidan: Mommy, you like that dress?
Me: Well I'm going to try it on, you let me know what you think ok?
Aidan: Otay mommy.
(I start to get undressed)
Aidan: Mommy I see your boobies.
Me: (Mentally thanking my husband for teaching him the word boobies.) Aidan that's not a very nice thing to say.
Aidan: (Practically screaming) Mommy HAS BIG BOOBIES. MOMMY HAS BIG BOOBIES. MOMMY YOU HAS BIG BOOBIES. Breaks in to laughter.
And that is the story of the day I wanted to leave my child behind in the TJ Maxx dressing room.

Conversations With An Almost Three Year Old-Part 4
As usual I gave Aidan a kiss today and he wiped it off.
Me: Give me a kiss. (I proceed to take one)
Aidan: GROOOOOOOS. YUUUUUUCK Mommy. (wipes his entire face off five times with his arm).
Me: Your mean.
Aidan: Your April.
I am still laughing.

Conversations With an Almost Three Year Old-Part 3
Aidan snuck out of his room tonight after we put him to bed and he came in our room and complained he was cold. Usually we put him right back in his bed but he was being so cute.
Aidan: I cold Mommy, Daddy. (he hasn't quite got the "and" down yet)
Me: Well climb up here and let me hold you for a minute.
Aidan: No tanks (thanks) , I'll go to bed.
Off he went back to his bed. He most definitely would have stayed around later had I not threatened to hold him. I think I should rename these posts. "Conversations with an almost three year old that hates me."

Conversations With an Almost 3 Year Old-Part 2
Today, I was moving some things around in the laundry room and I dropped something on Aidan's foot...
Me: Oh goodness, sorry baby. I didn't mean to do that. Are you ok?
Aidan: You hurt me.
Me: I'm sorry hunny. Want me to kiss it?
Aidan: No.
Me: No?
Aidan: Be more careful Mommy.
Me: Be more careful?
Aidan: (as he is storming off) YES!
I was like in shock he said that to me. It was too cute.
