Hey y'all!!!! Are you as busy as me? I feel like I haven't blogged in forever! I have been so busy trying to shop, wrap, shop, bake, wrap, shop more I have barely had time to eat. Where has this month gone? I hate being rushed to get everything done. I feel like I miss the entire season.
I also have to confess I am a little down in the dumps we aren't a family of four yet. I thought in my head we would have a baby or news of a new baby by this Christmas when I was setting up for Christmas last year. It just wasn't the year for us. Maybe next year? Haha again? My extra Christmas stockings may be deteriorated by the time we have another little one running around here. Seriously, pray that is not the case!
We do have so much to be grateful for this season though! Great family, friends that might as well be family, our health, and our beautiful little house with its little bit of Christmas twinkle.
We are so excited to celebrate the birth of our Savior and to see Aidan's excitement when he wakes up on Christmas morning.
I can't wait for things to slow down a little bit after this week! Are we on the same page?

Our Night in the Country
Our friend Michael has a house in Waxhaw, NC which is about 10 minutes outside of Charlotte and every once in while we get the invite out to the "Country House" as Aidan calls it and we have a great time. Over the summer we camped out on the property but this time we were lucky enough to be allowed inside. Haha! It was freezing but worth every goose bump to get to spend time with Mike, his lovely girlfriend Chelsea, my hubby and of course Aidan got to spend time with his best buddy Ryland.
Mike restored this mini bike that has been in his family for years for his Ryland. He is still too young to ride it but we thought it would be fun lean the bike up against a stump and take some pics of the boys on it.
Aren't they cuties!!!
They both have these Kawasaki four wheelers and when one of them dies, they just double up!
Sitting in the top of the barn. Only about 6 feet off the ground and Mike is hiding right to the side of them!
Chelsea's little Moose.
I love the old buildings.
The hubby is freezing.
More Moose.
Sometimes when we take pictures our eyes aren't open. Haha! Chelsea and Ryland are presh anyways!
I stole these pictures from Chelsea's facebook page from a few weeks ago.
Adam and I enjoying the bonfire.
The boys being adorable as always.
We let them wear these little headlamps so that they can see what they are doing in the dark.
We absolutely instructed them to pose for these hilarious photos.
And now I feel a little redneck. Haha!

Christmas Tour Of Homes
Kelly over at Kelly's Korner and The Nester are both doing a Christmas Tour of Homes today. I am so excited about this! I am looking for some seriously good ideas for Christmas decorating. I am just now starting to build up my Christmas stash. I really, really wanted to do two trees this year but I have just ran out of time!!! Here is a little bit of our Christmas cheer...
Merry Christmas Y'all! Thanks for stopping by! Can't wait to check out every one's Christmas decorating!!!
The Tree
We went with colored lights this year. Next year I have to go back to white. The left side looks like it's lacking ribbon but I swear it's there!
some of our favorite ornaments this year...
The Mantle
{just this week we hung our TV above our fireplace. Our house is little and this really is the best place for it, just taking some getting used to}
I bought these Poinsettia picks at Target last year. I was so disappointed in Target's Christmas section this year.
This is Aidan's stocking. How funny that I bought these when I was pregnant with him and he is now a firetruck fanatic. Mother's intuition I guess?
You would know by now that this is my stocking if I had taken any time in the past three years to get these monogrammed.
Skiing Santa belongs to Adam.
I used these Apothecary jars that I have used a hundred times for other things on my mantel this year. I just filled them with leftover ornaments. The mason jars were already on the mantle as was the candle vase. I just added clear ornaments to them.
Entry Way Table & Wreath
{this is the dresser that used to house our TV. I am liking it sooo much better this way!}
I made this banner this year to hang across this mirror. I just painted some card stock red and traced the letters with a pencil and then painted glue on and added the glitter. After that I made some holes and strung the ribbon through. I think it turned out really cute!
This is my wreath. Funny story. I had ribbon wrapped around it, and an "H" ornament hanging from the center and the other day it fell off the door when Adam was leaving for work. It basically fell apart and this was what was left. I was too lazy to put it all back together. Ha!
Dining Room Table & Other Little Christmas Things
These are the candles I made with Epsom Salt recently. I hung the ornaments from my chandelier and added a few to the candle stands I already had.
I love using these little Santa plates during the holidays. They give Aidan a reason to ask about Santa {or HO HO as he refers to him}. We will be using them for Santa's Christmas cookies this year too!!!
A bowl of ornaments in the playroom.
Every year for Christmas, Adam's grandmother gives me something FOR Christmas. Two years ago it was Christmas dish towels....
and last year it was this adorable Santa platter.
And Last but not Least...Adam wanted me to share "McAdamville" with you all...
as I am typing this there is a little flurry happening outside.
as I am typing this there is a little flurry happening outside.
and this post would not be complete without the best part of my Christmas this year...this little guy.
Merry Christmas Y'all! Thanks for stopping by! Can't wait to check out every one's Christmas decorating!!!

Twas' the Night We Bought Our Xmas Tree and All The Pictures Were Fuzzy
I grew up getting my tree at the Simpson's lot on Kings Dr. and Adam even got his tree there a time or two as a child. Now it's our family tradition to get our family tree there. We love the tree lot. Every year it puts us in the mood for the season. The nicest people work there, they are reasonably priced and they have the best trees and a great wreath selection and tons of mistle toe for sale! So, last Thursday we finally made it out to pick out our 2010 tree.
For some reason my camera was horrible the other night. I have never had problems with it taking such terrible pictures. I tried several settings and nothing worked. The only pictures that came out were the ones where I used my Automatic setting and the flash made those pictures terrible. Anyone have advice for me on this one?
The boys take off to find the Harvey Family Christmas Tree.
Posing for pictures that we can't even see now.
Still cute.
There she is! The perfect tree.
Fuzzy McFuzzerson's
Except for this one...but the flash is terrible. I need to take a class on how to use my camera ASAP!
Quick Pic in Santa's Sleigh
Loaded up and ready to head home.
Post with pics of decorating tree to come!
