The before pictures are a little dated. These are pictures of the bathroom when I first painted it red. Since then, I have changed out the shower curtain but the black and white accents stayed the same so you'll get the idea.
Here is the start of my little project:
It literally stayed like this for 3 weeks. Just that little spot was painted.
Then one night after Aidan went to bed...I got some energy.
and here are the afters...
I made this skirt for our pedestal sink to hide the plumbing and to give us a place to store things like the TP and plunger out of sight!
Rather than spending the money for a new white mirror, I just painted our current one and flipped it on it's side.
We added this white ledge that we were no longer using for extra "counter" space.
Little details...
I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! It's a nice change. You are probably wondering where the heck I got the idea to paint this design on my wall? I originally saw the idea here on the Jones Design Company blog. I emailed the incredibly talented Emily for a few tips and then I just started. That was January 8th. Almost two months later, I have finally finished!!
Thank you Emily for the inspiration and my hubby for telling me to get the bathroom finished before he pulled the plug on this project so we could move on to something else {always in the nicest ways}.
I am linking up to these parties...

It's beautiful! I love the pattern. So elegant and chic. It's such a wonderful update! Love the idea to add the little white shelf under the mirror.
